Fish.Fillet.Feast! A special event taking place on 18th June between 11am and 7pm in various locations along the Yorkshire Coast near Whitby. Come and hear fishermen explain their industry - watch chefs prepare wonderful meals and even taste some freshly caught and barbequed fish - delicious! There’ll be traditional crafts and activities for the whole family, music, performances and exhibitions all fish-related.

Rowan Tree House Bed and Breakfast is perched on the edge of the Esk Valley. The River Esk winds its way for nearly 28 miles through some of the most picturesque countryside in the North of England. Sleights is just a couple of miles from it’s mouth at Whitby and is the perfect place from which to explore the route of the Esk - as it runs past the villages and hamlets of the Esk Valley.

It would be easy to pass through Sleights without giving it much thought - or miss it altogether depending on which direction you’re travelling to the Yorkshire Coast from.
But there’s more to our little village than meets the eye. And in fact, it’s a great location from which to enjoy this part of the country without having to cope of the crowds of Whitby.
